Free on-premise SMTP server

Xeams is a complete email server package that can send email messages generated from other on-premise applications or devices.

Use Cases

The free edition of Xeams offers the following benefits:

  • Receiving inbound emails from the Internet for your domain
  • Host inboxes for users and allows access from IMAP/POP3
  • Send outbound emails
  • Sign outbound emails with DKIM
  • Ensure encryption is used using MTA-STS

Deployment Strategy

An on-premise server does not necessarily mean running it inside your LAN. A more appropriate definition is having complete control over your email infrastructure. Therefore, the actual physical location of the server could either be inside your LAN or on a virtual machine running on the cloud, such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or any other provider.

Easy Installation

The Xeams installation package does not have any prerequisites. This means there is no need to install SQL servers, web servers, or any other package besides Xeams. The installation package on Windows is as easy as double-clicking the setup.exe file. Once the installation is complete, it will automatically load a web interface, prompting you to configure it further.

Supported Operating Systems

Xeams is supported on many operating systems, including but not limited to:

  • Microsoft Windows 2012 servers and Windows 7 and above for desktop versions.
  • Linux - every major distro is supported, including Ubuntu, CentOS, Redhat, Debian, OpenSUSE, and others.
  • Mac
  • BSD
  • Unix

Free vs Paid

The free edition of Xeams is usually sufficient for small businesses and home users. Many large organizations use Xeams only for outbound emails generated by application servers and multifunctional devices inside their LAN.

In addition to the free version, Xeams also publishes a paid Enterprise Edtion with the following benefits.
