Tracking Outbound Emails with Read Receipt


This feature allows adding a delivery receipt to track an email message. This receipt tells the sender (a local user) once the recipient opens the email to view it. Receipts are sent via email to the original sender.

Troubleshooting Tips

The subject suffix is not removed from the message.

Confirm the subject suffix is correctly specified in the configuration screen. Additionally, ensure the textual string specified for the subject is occurs only once in the actual subject.

It is recommended you use a subject prefix that would normally not appear in any subject line.

Occasionally, I do not get alerts

There is not guarantee this feature will work with every message you send out. Administrators and/or recipients have the ability to block such receipts from getting generated.
