Hello, Attempting to setup email forwarding. I am using the SMTP Server Configuration and have port 25 and 587 setup to receive emails from the internet. This works as I can see emails coming in via the stats page. Now I need to forward these emails off to the on-site SMTP server. In the domain settings tab I have: Relaying is set at closed (the default), no other info has been added to that tab. Advanced tab is set to default values as well. Is this setup correct? Will mail that comes into the "spam firewall" SMTP Server which are sent to user@domain.com be forwarded to the address of domain.com:2525? Port 25 is blocked on-site and can not be used, hence the need for a proxy. Port 2525 is forwarded to the on-site mail server and is able to receive mail. Thanks, |

Yes, this should work. Ensure the "Server Type" under Server Configuration is set to Firewall. I assume port 25 is not blocked on the network where Xeams is running but is blocked on the network where the actual downstream server runs. Here is a network diagram:
Are you running into any problems using this configuration?

I seem to have all the messages sitting in the outbound queue in Xeams. Is there some configuration that could have been missed? All i have done was set the server type to spam firewall on install and then enable the SMTP Server and configure the settings. |
