I have two xeams installations with matching configurations (as far as possible: same users, same domains, same server config) One is linux ubuntu server 20.04, the other is windows server 2012 based. Both are running in firewall mode against the same exchange server. One user has associations defined. When I send an email to an associated address, on the windows server thie recipient is not changed and the mail arrives in exchange with original recipient. The same procedure over the linux machine, there xeams cahnges the recipient address to the basic address of the user, it arrives in exchange with the userId as recipient, making it impossible to recognize which is the original recipient. How can I change this behaviour on the linux machine to make it the same as on the windows installation? regards Michael

Michael, You should associate email addresses belonging to the same user in Xeams. In other words, every address should eventually go to the same Inbox. For example, associating michael@example.com and mike@example.com should be associated with each other, but you will run into problems if you associate bob@example.com with this account. If you have emails like sales@example.com, you should NOT associate that with Michael's account but create a Distribution List. When you have multiple recipients associated with each other, Xeams will put every recipient in the same Inbox and pick the first available email address when forwarding them to the next hop. |
