Notification reports

Xeams can automatically send notification reports containing a summary of emails that have been quarantined for a user. This email contains the subject, sender and score of the actual message. Using this report individual can restore any message that gets incorrectly quarantined by the system. They can also mark a message as good to prevent it from getting blocked in the future.

This report is sorted by score. Messages with a lower score has a higher probability of getting blocked incorrectly and therefore, users only need to look at the first few messages. Messages that appear towards the bottom are almost always junk.

When are these reports sent?

By default, Xeams sends this report at midnight containing a list of emails that were quarantined in the previous day. Follow the steps below to change this default behavior.
  • Log in to Admin Console
  • Click Manage Users under Server Configuration
  • Click Edit next to the desired user
  • Specify the times you want Xeams to generate this report. You can specify up to 5 different times. Refer to the image below.

Bulk modification

Follow the steps below to modify the report schedule for every user.
  • Log in to Admin Console
  • Select Manage Users under Server Configuration
  • Click Modify report schedule towards the top

I know the report is sorted by score, is there any way to sort it by date/time... We currently send out the report 4 times a day and users don't remember if they have already restored a message.

I found that I had to configure Forefront for Exchange as follows: Policy Management AntiSpam-Configure Configure Content Allow Lists Allowed Senders Added notifications@synametrics.com Don't forget to click save at the top of the page.

is it possible to change the links in the reports to the Secure Web Server Port?

In business critcal emails the amount of notifications is not enough, an option is needed for either more time frames or for notifications to be sent as soon as a mail is blocked

Does anyone know why Xeams is sending the reports to some recipients junk folder? I have a few users who within the past few weeks started getting good email in their junk folder, the scores are all well within "Good Email" range (-200 or better), and even when setting up rules in Outlook and Thunderbird the Xeams reports and some good email still end up in the Junk.... Anyone any ideas? I've searched high and low and have discovered nothing... Bruce.

It would be nice to be able top remove the "Mark as good" column fro mthe emails. If a lot of users start marking things as good you could end up with peopel marking spam sources as good

HI, Good software as I see. Is it possible to get more details on report? It is possible to modify report to send weekly instead? Thanks,

It sure would be nice if there was a way to whitelist outbound mail from notifications@synametrics.com. I have found no way to do this. Outbound messages from this address do not even show up in the message repository. In the outbound smtp failure log some messages from notifications@synametrics.com show up as "550 5.7.1 Message rejected as spam by Content Filtering."

Why do some users not receive the Notification Reports? The log shows it is filtered due to content filtering. I have white listed and score adjusted every way I know how. Some get it, some don't.

It would be good to put latest spam on top for each report.
