Hi, i'm new to Xeams, I hope my question is not too naive.
I want to use Xeams as an email archive server on a QNAP Nas. I do NOT want to expose Xeams to the outside, it should just accept messages via IMAP from local clients. I want to manually transfer mails from Outlook/Thunderbird to the connected Xeams-acoount.
Is there a suggestion how to configure xeams to disable mail sending and to keep the server local? Thanks for any advice. regards TimTo |

You could certainly do that. The easiest way is to create a domain name that is not a valid domain on the Internet and does not have any MX records. You could enable the IMAP server within Xeams and connect Outlook to it. This will allow you to send messages to within the same domain but you won't receive anything from the Internet. |
