I have had an ongoing intermittent issue. started with an end user saying they were sent an email, but said email is nowhere to be found, neither in junk, good or potential.

Unable to find it in any search, not in outlook junk folder or inbox.... no trace of it, so we assumed it was never sent, sender swears it was.

Fast forward a couple days. Ran some updates on the server and rebooted. Soon as the server is back online, said MIA emails are dumped into the users inbox.

issue has come up with various users at various times... reboot and boom, the emails show up.

I scheduled a scrips to reboot the server over the weekend every week, this worked for a bit, now I have to reboot it every day.

Anyone experience this? Any clue the cause and how to fix it?

TIA

Brad

Beside posting this message, Brad had also contacted us via email. Xeams has an embedded relational database that is used for reporting purposes. This DB is stored in $INSTALL_DIR\db folder. There were quite a few error messages in Xeams.log related to this problem. We stopped Xeams, renamed the $INSTALL_DIR\db folder to something else and restarted Xeams to fix the problem.

Note that Xeams recreates $INSTALL_DIR\db folder if it's missing.
