Xeams had been working fine. The update a couple of days ago failed and we didn't receive emails a significant portion of the day yesterday until the issue was discovered. I found the service was not started and would not start. I found an article on the support website and renamed the xeams.bak file to xeams.jar and the system started and worked normally.

Last night the upgrade ran again. The service sent me an email and email seems to be flowing normally this morning; however I cannot access the web management front end. The service shows as running and email still appears to be flowing.

When I attempt to connect to the front end it doesn't time out it just never loads.  I suspect that there is a webserver service that isn't loading somewhere but I'm unsure how to go about diagnosing it.

Philip,

There are two components in an update: Xeams.jar and Webfront.zip . I have a feeling something went wrong with the web part. Try the following:

  • Download webfront.zip from http://xeams.com/files/webfront.zip
  • Unzip it into a temp folder
  • Copy *.jsp files from this temp folder to C:\Xeams\webfront\webapps\ROOT folder. On Linux, this path is /opt/Xeams/webfront/webapps/ROOT
  • You do not have to restart Xeams. Just try refreshing the browser

If this does not work, send us an email with Xeams.log attached.
