My current email server allows me to set up email aliases so each user may have multiple email addresses assigned to the account, even in multiple domains.  It also enables creation of a "default recipient" for each domain, which will receive all emails that are addressed to an otherwise unrecognised name on that domain, so no message to the domain is lost, even if the name has been mis-spelled. Both of these facilities are essential to the way in which we use email here.  Having installed Xeams server, I cannot see how to set up the default recipient(s).  Am I missing something, or is Xeams not going to work for me?

Answer 1: Assigning more than one email to the same individual. This is done by Associating multiple addresses to the same person. Go to Manage Users under Server Configuration, click on Associations for the desired user and add as many email addresses you need to that user.

Answer 2: The closest feature in Xeams for this is called the Catch All feature. When specified, emails sent to wrong addresses will be forwarded to the address you mention there.

We usually do NOT recommend users to implement this feature. Spammers often send messages to invalid accounts and that will unnecessarily increase your email traffic as well as spam. If the sender types an incorrect address, let them get an NDR. This will not only fix the human error, but will also help you lower the spam count.

If your end goal is to use temporary email addresses that you can give to certain server providers, check http://www.xeams.com/temp-address.htm
