Hi

i tried to adding some Domains which just has to been relayed after scanning.

I added in the installation linux-nerd.de as my own. Here relaying is working as expected.

Then i added 2 more domains in the Category Mail Forward.

I just added @domains.de -> IP -> Good Mails

When i send a Mail then i get the follwing error:

550 5.7.54
    SMTP; Unable to relay recipient in non-accepted domain (in reply to RCPT TO
    command)

Anyone an idea what did i wrong? Maybe i added the domain not correct in the configuration.

Cheers

I did not have to add any domains to allow relaying.  I need a phone system and a scanner to relay.  All I had to do was allow open relay on the relaying tab of the SMTP server configuration.

When installing - install as if you were a stand alone server (single not hybrid) on Server Configuration page.

Afterwards you don't need any domains on the SMTP configuration Domain tab.

This can run on an ordinary PC in the background without any real speed issues as the scanner and phone systems do very little.

I also turned off all spam checking.

WARNING:::::

In my version - if you turn on smart host configuration and cannot get it to work, turning it off does not always work.  It took me over 10 tries to get it truly off.  It remembers some setting and the way I could tell was just by clicking on the message Repository main title (not sub drop down menus).  That told  me how many messages I processed.  If I saw the queue was empty (Message Repository) and I say the message count go up, the email went out.

But when I put in a smart host, things were stuck in the outbound queue.  Even after deleting the smart host almost 10 times, and restarting the server the same issue happened.

I thin the way I got it was through persistence.  Use the x in the field of every item and save after each one then a full restart.

However, back to the relay.  Turn off the filtering on an open relay on page - Filter Management - score configuration right hand side.

The in the message Repository (main title ) looking at the message type and total count you should not see anything in Junk or Possible junk just good messages relayed out.

USE THIS IN A CLOSED ENVIORNMENT as this is now an open relay.  NO PORTS should be exposed to the WAN.

Although there are other free smart hosts out there, I like Xeams...
