When having the AD integration turned on, users cannot login with their username+password in the console. All users have successfully been pulled from the AD but they cannot login.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Martin,

There are two kind of users in Xeams:

  1. Inherited from AD - the user ID for these users are NOT email address but your Windows User ID
  2. Local to Xeams - these are not associated with AD and are typically identified by their full email address.

Which one are you using? If they are local, make sure to use the full email address.

I am using AD integration. All users have been successfully imported but no AD user can login.

I have tried all combinations of user ID I can think of that might otherwise be an option when logging into a Win domain:

- martin

- martin@contoso

- martin@contoso.local

- contoso\martin

 

None of this seems to working, where my domain in this case would be contoso.local...

Martin,

The only combination that should work are "martin" and "contoso/martin". Are you getting any error messages in the "Active Directory Integration" screen? Additionally, check Xeams.log for errors related to AD after a failed login attempt.

Hi,

Neither "martin", nor "contoso/martin" is working. There are no errors related to this in the Xeams.log and no error messages shows up in the AD Integration screen.

I am having the same issue. I found this thread and found no resolution so it still seems to be open.

 

I have AD integration turned on - all users import without fail. No errors in logs and NOT ONE user can login. I have tried all combinations as well. I have started a support ticket and have not received a call back at this point.

 

I need this resolved asap please respond.

I have looked at the password log and get this....

018-03-26 11:17:37,073 - Incorrect password attempted. IP Address: X.X.X.X Source: Http Server. Attempt number 3. Login:   xxxxxxxxx

I know for a fact what the password is for the account attempted. I also get this issue with all other users. We cannot all be typing in our passwords wrong but

still have used the same password to login to the workstation this morning. 

 

Is support working today? When will I get a call and some help resolving this issue please?

I have tested and local xeams account login works. I even used the same password for the test to be sure the password was not the issue.

 

Still looking for that call back - need help soon!

We tried searching for emails that came from your email address but could not find any. Did you use a different address? Could you please send us an email and we will try solving this problem via email. The original post is very old and a lot have changed since then - that is why it will be easier to answer this problem via email.

We did not receive any message. What address did you send it to? It should be support@synametrics.com . I even checked in our Xeams to ensure it was not quarantined by mistake. Alternatively, can you call us at +1609-750-0007
